Lines of Coverage

Automobile Insurance

The objective of the Automobile Insurance is to protect Kennesaw State University against damage or injury claims presented as the result of negligence on the part of KSU employees while operating a KSU owned vehicle within the course and scope of their employment.  See the Auto Liability Safety Video released by the Department of Administrative Services Risk Management Department.

Building and Contents

Kennesaw State University’s state owned building and personal property agreement provides coverage for loss or damage to real property such as buildings and other physical structures (other than land) and personal property such as goods or assets other than real property.

State Tort and General Liability

The objective of the State Tort coverage is to protect Kennesaw State University against liability for wrongful acts committed by their employees while acting within the course and scope of their employment.  See Georgia Tort Claims Act.

The objective of the General Liability coverage is to protect State employees against personal liability for damages arising out of the performance of their job duties.

All Risk Insurance

Kennesaw State University’s all risk agreement insures on a replacement cost basis unique property risks that are not insurable under the State Owned Buildings and Personal Property Program.  Any non-owned property under this coverage must be in the care, custody, and control of KSU and there must be a care, custody, and control agreement in existence at the time of loss.  There are five basic types of property covered.

  • Money, Securities and Fidelity
  • Fine Arts
  • Aircraft and Watercraft Hull
  • Non-State Owned Property
  • Transient State Property
