Master of Arts in Teaching
The Masters of Arts in Teaching Secondary English program leads to a master's degree and a teaching certificate in Secondary English (grades 6-12). The MAT is currently a four-to-five semester program enrolling in both spring and summer semesters.
Visit the MAT Advising Page for detailed information about programs of study, course registration, and field experiences.
Upon full admission, the MAT program can be completed in five semesters. While fall and spring semester classes are offered in the evenings, extensive field experiences in schools demand a full-time commitment to the program.

Please contact English education graduate coordinator Dr. Darren Crovitz with any additional questions you may have about the program.
