Program Requirements
To be considered for MAPW admission, applicants must
submit the following credentials to the KSU Graduate Admission Office:

Application form. All applications received must
be accompanied by a nonrefundable $20.00 application processing fee. Checks
should be made payable to Kennesaw State University.
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or
university with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA). An official
transcript sent directly from the institution to the Office of Graduate
Admissions from each institution attended. Proof of baccalaureate degree
should be on one transcript.
- Minimum total score of 1350 (verbal, quantitative,
and analytical) on the General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE);
or minimum of 550 verbal score; the GRE requirement is waived for applicants
who have earned an advanced degree.
- Valid Immunization Certificate for measles, mumps and
rubella.

- An application letter that states the applicant's
goals for the MAPW program and a rationale for the choice of concentration
and support areas.
- Three copies of representative writing samples from
both the concentration and the support areas, not to exceed 25 pages.
- A letter of recommendation is optional.
Provisional standing and non-degree status are not
available for applicants to the MAPW program.
Residency Requirement
To receive a graduate degree from Kennesaw State
University, a student must complete at least 27 semester hours of program
requirements at KSU. All of these 27 hours must be completed after the
student has been admitted to the degree program.
Time Limit
All requirements for a master's degree must be
completed within six years, beginning with the first registration following
admission to the degree program. Extension of time may be granted only on
conditions beyond the student's control. Only courses for which credit has
been earned within six years of the date of graduation will be counted for
degree credit.
