Guidelines for Convocation Center Activity Wings and Classroom Use  

 

 

The primary purpose of this space is academic classes.

• Absolutely NO Food or Drink, including water, allowed on activity wings or in classrooms.

• Absolutely NO Tape or Markings allowed on the activity wings.

• If the activity wings are being used for any purpose other than the bleachers, all hardwood surfaces MUST be adequately covered or ALL participants MUST wear appropriate shoes, e.g., basketball type tennis shoes.

• Absolutely NO usage of the classroom technology (Computer, VHS/DVD player, Sound System, Projectors, etc.). This policy is removed when technology is required, e.g., a class being taught by another department.

• Any rearrangement of the furniture MUST be returned to the original setup.

• There MUST be a KSU employee in the occupied classroom at all times.

• Do NOT leave the classroom unattended.  Always close the door(s) to secure the classroom.

• The classrooms are NOT recreational areas; they are for instructional purposes only.

• The use of activity wings and/or classroom(s) is a privilege NOT a right.

• The attendee(s) will be held liable for any damage to the technology components, furniture, carpet, tables, walls, hardwood floors, etc. in the activity wings and/or classrooms.

• If the guidelines are not adhered to and/or the activity wings/classrooms are misused, it will result in LOSS of privileges for future use of the activity wings/classrooms.
