Position Title:
Assistant Professor of Communication/Media Studies
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

Located near Atlanta, Kennesaw State University is the third largest university in the University System of Georgia. Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communication with a focus on Media Studies. Qualifications include an earned doctorate degree in communication, mass communication or a related field completed by August 2007.

Responsibilities include teaching required undergraduate courses in mass communication; managing a new Digital Media Lab; helping to develop a curriculum for a department aspiring to be at the vanguard of the citizen media movement (especially in connection with journalism and PR); performing service duties; and maintaining scholarly productivity. Familiarity with new and emerging digital tools such as weblogs, vlogs, podcasts, is required. Excellence in teaching and mentoring students is expected.
