Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in University Studies (with an emphasis in the Arts), in the Department of University Studies, beginning August 2006. Primary teaching responsibilities are in the KSU 1101 course, our award-winning First-Year Experience Seminar. An earned doctorate or Master's degree is required in an Arts field appropriate for teaching one of the College of the Arts general education courses in conjunction with learning communities. In addition, candidates must have taught lower-division courses, have a history of strong student evaluations and preferably have some knowledge of first-year student programs, such as KSU 1101. Previous experience in the area of Visual Arts, Music or Theater is preferred. The applicant hired for this position will teach approximately eight courses per year.
