Position Title:
Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

Kennesaw State University, a growing university located in a beautiful suburban setting north of Atlanta, is accepting applications for three tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice faculty positions to begin August 2009. 
For position ONE and TWO, the candidate must be able to teach the introductory criminal justice course, criminology, research methods and at least two of the following:  Corrections; Police in America or Police Administration; Criminal Procedure and Ethics. A Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology or closely-related social science field is required.  An outstanding A.B.D or J.D. may be considered if candidate has a solid record of academic scholarly research and a solid record of excellence in teaching at the university level.
For the THIRD position, the candidate must be able to teach the introductory criminal justice course, criminology, research methods and at least two of the following:  Victimology, Terrorism, Sociology of Violence and Drugs, Alcohol & Society.  A Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology or closely-related social science field is required.  An outstanding A.B.D may be considered if candidate has a solid record of academic scholarly research and a solid record of excellence in teaching at the university level.  Supervision of student internships and advising is required.  The successful candidate also must be available to teach some night and/or weekend classes.
Commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and engagement, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
