Director, Foreign Languages Resource Center
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

This is a 9-month, non-tenure track position with an appointment as administrative faculty, with the possibility of summer pay up to 30% of base salary depending on programmatic need. Position renewable yearly. The primary responsibilities of the Director are: to assist faculty with the use of multi-media technologies in their teaching; to supervise the “Critical Languages Program” [http://www.kennesaw.edu/ foreignlanguage/critical.html]; and to teach one class per semester in one of the languages offered in the Department. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the Advanced Standing and HSK examinations and posting materials to the DFL website. The successful candidate must hold a Master's degree (doctoral degree preferred) with a minimum of 18 semester graduate hours in one of the languages offered by the Department. Candidates must have experience in working in a language laboratory with multi-media capabilities, preferably at the supervisory level. Teaching experience required. Salary and academic rank commensurate with education and experience. Commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and engagement, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
