Assistant Professor in Lighting Design
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

Kennesaw State University is a growing and progressive university in Georgia's public system of higher education. The Department of Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University, located in metro-Atlanta, GA is accepting applications for a tenure-track position in lighting design starting in August, 2010.

Qualifications: M.F.A. in Lighting Design required. The successful candidate will have professional experience/education in lighting design with a secondary area of interest in sound and/or stage/production management, strong teaching/mentoring skills, and excellent communication skills. This individual will teach in the design/technical area of the department, help guide the design/technical concentration as a whole, design in the production season and supervise staff and student designers. Active participation in departmental recruitment efforts is required, as is institutional service. The Department of Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre and is one of the largest theatre programs in Georgia.
