Assistant Professor in Lighting Design
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

Kennesaw State University is a growing and progressive university in Georgia's public system of higher education. Located on an attractive campus in suburban Atlanta, KSU currently enrolls more than 21,000 traditional and nontraditional baccalaureate, master's and doctoral students. The Department of Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University, located in metro-Atlanta, GA is accepting applications for a tenure-track position in lighting design starting in August, 2010.

Qualifications: M.F.A. in Lighting Design required. The successful candidate will have professional experience/education in lighting design with a secondary area of interest in sound and/or stage/production management, strong teaching/mentoring skills, and excellent communication skills. This individual will teach in the design/technical area of the department, help guide the design/technical concentration as a whole, design in the production season and supervise staff and student designers. Active participation in departmental recruitment efforts is required, as is institutional service. The Department of Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre and is one of the largest theatre programs in Georgia.
