Position Title:
Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

KSU, a growing and progressive university in Georgia’s public system of higher education, invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance in the Department of Economics, Finance and Quantitative Analysis, beginning August 2010. The Coles College of Business is fully accredited by AACSB-International. Located on an attractive campus in suburban NW metropolitan Atlanta, Kennesaw State University enrolls approximately 21,000 undergraduate and graduate students and is engaged in an impressive array of research and professional service initiatives. The Department houses the Henssler Trading Room and the Student Managed Investment Fund.

An earned doctoral degree in Finance, or a related field from an ACCSB-accredited university with a specialization in Investments is preferred. Teaching responsibilities for this position include instruction in the undergraduate and graduate programs in addition to scholarly activities and service. Preference will be given to applicants who have a passion for and experience in teaching and scholarship. Applicants must provide evidence of effective teaching and scholarship.  The position is pending budgetary approval.

We will be interviewing selected candidates at the FMA and SFA meetings in October and November 2009, respectively. Candidates should send a letter of application addressing the applicant's position qualifications and interest in Kennesaw State University, a narrative on teaching, evidence of teaching experience and effectiveness, samples of scholarship, a current curriculum vita; names, addresses, and telephone numbers of at least three references; and official graduate transcripts.
