Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

Kennesaw State University, a growing and progressive university in the University System of Georgia that is located in suburban Metropolitan Atlanta, invites applications for a twelve-month, tenure-track, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Coles College of Business beginning July 1, 2010. This new faculty position will assume a position supporting the Coles College’s Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) program.

The Coles DBA is an innovative doctoral program designed to meet the needs of experienced professionals.  The DBA is a research-based, theoretically-driven program that trains students to conduct research in their area of professional competence. The curriculum engages students with scholars from both the Coles College as well as a global network.  This integrated program engages doctoral candidates in a rigorous, collaborative learning experience designed to prepare students to identify and provide solutions to complex and challenging problems in business. 

An earned doctorate in a business discipline is required. Candidates must provide evidence of effective teaching and be able to teach doctoral level courses in both quantitative and qualitative research methods as well as courses within their discipline. Quantitative methods courses require mastery of SPSS including SPSS AMOS.  Preference is given to candidates with an active research record leading to publications in top-tier refereed scholarly academic and applied business journals consistent with one of Coles’ major research centers (i.e. The Cox Family Enterprise Center, Coles International Center, or Corporate Governance Center).   This position will require evidence of the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administrators to implement the DBA program and mentor doctoral students.  The chosen candidate will be expected to interact with business leaders in addition to academic colleagues worldwide.
