Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communication with a focus on Public Relations. Candidates with an earned doctorate degree in communication, mass communication, or a related field are strongly preferred. Responsibilities include teaching required public relations courses, contributing to the teaching of other communication courses, mentoring students, performing service duties, and maintaining scholarly productivity. Core public relations courses include: Public Relations Principles, Public Relations Cases, Public Relations Writing, and Public Relations Campaigns. A particular need is in PR Writing. Commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and engagement, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Department wishes to provide an inclusive learning environment to prepare students for personal and professional success in an increasingly multicultural and global society.
