Position Title:
Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice faculty position to begin August 2010. 

The candidate must be able to teach the introductory criminal justice course or criminology, research methods and at least two of the following:  Victimology, Terrorism/Ideological & Group Violence, Comparative Criminal Justice Systems or Transnational Crimes.  An earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology or closely-related social science field is required.  An outstanding A.B.D. may be considered if candidate can provide evidence of scholarship and experience in teaching at the university level.  Completion of Ph.D. is, however, expected at the time of appointment.  Supervision of student internships and advising is required.  The successful candidate also must be available to teach some night and/or weekend classes.  Experience and knowledge in teaching online courses is a plus.
Commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and engagement, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
