Position Title:

Assistant Professor of Spanish

Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish position in the Department of Foreign Languages, beginning in August 2010. An earned doctorate in Spanish or associated field is required as well as native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English. Highly desirable: a successful teaching record and direct experience studying or working in a Spanish-speaking country. Teaching includes introductory and upper-division Spanish courses. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in one of the following areas: Linguistics, or Peninsular/ Latin American Literature before 1800. In addition, this position includes the coordination of internships in the Department of Foreign Languages. Commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and engagement, is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
