Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for the position of a nine-month, tenure-track, assistant professor who will specialize in professional (technical, business, and/or new-media) writing in the Department of English, College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach editing, composition, technical writing, and other writing courses beginning in August 2010 and to mentor professional writing undergraduate and graduate students. Requirements include an earned doctorate in professional writing, English, rhetoric and composition, or a related field, with recent, relevant teaching experience, and evidence of current scholarship in professional writing. Experience writing for the private or public sector is desirable. The appointment carries an annual 3/3 teaching load with scholarship and service obligations. |
