Position Title:
Assistant/Associate Professor of International Policy
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Kennesaw State University is seeking applications from Assistant and Associate Professors for a nine-month tenure-track position to support the MSCM and potentially the Conflict Management concentration of a new fully funded Ph.D. program in International Policy (IP).  Go to http://hss.kennesaw.edu/  for a complete description of the program.

An earned Ph.D. in Conflict Management, Political Science, International Affairs, Public Policy, Anthropology or a related field, with interdisciplinary academic training in conflict management and policy.  Candidates with experience in peacekeeping, peace operations, international conflict resolution, humanitarian missions, post-conflict peace building, and the mitigation of regional conflicts will be given preference.  This position includes teaching responsibilities both in the Ph.D. program in International Policy and the Master of Science in Conflict Management program. The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong record of scholarship and graduate teaching.  A successful record of grantsmanship, foreign language competency and supervision of graduate research are all pluses for this position.

The successful candidate will have a joint appointment in one of the departments in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and with the new Ph.D. program.  Appointment with tenure at the associate rank is expected based on past record and experience.  Salary and benefits are competitive.
