Position Title:
Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Position  Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

Kennesaw State University, a growing university in the University System of Georgia with 22,500 students located in suburban Atlanta, invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics beginning in August 2010. The Department has 49 full-time faculty doing research in a variety of areas including algebra, biomathematics, combinatorics and graph theory, differential equations, numerical analysis, and optimization. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in mathematics by August 2010, with evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrated experience in research. Preference will be given to candidates whose research area matches one of the areas of faculty interest listed above. Responsibilities will include scholarship, classroom teaching, advisement of mathematics majors, and professional service.
