Assistant or Associate Professor of Voice (female)

Position Qualifications – Responsibilities:

Female Voice Teacher/Artist (soprano, or mezzo-soprano). Needs to be an energetic, collegial, and committed individual who is dedicated to the continued growth and quality of the voice program at KSU. Must be able to recruit and retain an excellent voice studio, teaching voice majors in performance, music education, and liberal arts music degrees at the undergraduate level. Keyboard skills sufficient to accompany voice lessons, and other duties can include lyric diction, vocal literature, or other areas of candidate expertise.

Must have an active performance schedule and demonstrate excellent teaching to earn promotion and tenure This is a nine-month, tenure track, position. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate, or equivalent professional performance background, and successful history in studio teaching at the college level.

Required Education – Experience – Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Master’s degree in music.
