Position Title

Associate Dean of Academic Affairs (Internal Search to KSU)
Position Description and Responsibilities:    

The Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, one of three associate dean positions in the college, reports directly to the Dean and is a 12-month academic administrative position.  The responsibilities for this position include:

  • Oversee day-to-day college operations
  • Establish and manage college budgets
  • Oversee accreditation processes (AACSB, SACS, ABET)
  • Oversee space allocation
  • Serve as the College liaison to campus constituencies
  • Serve as a College liaison to external constituencies as requested by the Dean
  • Oversee all faculty management processes  in concert with the University’s Academic Affairs Office including T&P, faculty hiring, and budget
  • Responsible for annual update of the strategic plan
  • Supervise College IT operations including Digital Measures, desktop support, and web design
  • Supervise Dean’s office Staff
  • Oversee faculty and staff professional development programs
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Education – Experience – Skills (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Earned doctorate or other appropriate terminal degree in a business or business-related discipline;
  • Hold the rank of tenured associate or full professor at KSU;
  • Exhibit strong communication, collaborative and leadership skills;
  • Demonstrated commitment to faculty and staff diversity and shared governance.
