Position Title:
Assistant Professor of Sport Management
Position Qualifications – Responsibilities:

One or more nine-month, full-time, tenure-track positions to support an undergraduate major and new graduate program in sport management. Preference will be given to candidates whose areas of expertise have practical applications to the sports marketplace.  Candidates are expected to engage in departmental, college, university, and professional service activities.

Required Education – Experience – Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in sport management or a related field.  Candidates must demonstrate strong potential for producing publishable research or have an established record of peer-reviewed publications commensurate with experience.

Departmental/College Overview:

The sport management program is housed in the newly formed Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management and is delivered by seven full-time faculty members. The program serves approximately 450 undergraduate majors and is preparing to offer a M.S. in Comparative Sport Management.  The sport management program has strong ties to the Atlanta sports community, which includes three major-league sports teams and serves as a frequent host to many national sports events.
