| Position Description and Responsibilities: | The MSW Program Director leads the MSW program’s curriculum and faculty development efforts, and is responsible for supervising the program field coordinator and program support staff. The program director engages in scholarship and serves the department, college, the university, and the professional community, while mentoring program faculty and facilitating faculty scholarship. They are responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with diverse agencies in the Northwest Corridor of Georgia, monitoring and allocating program resources in an efficient manner, and recruiting and mentoring MSW students. The director coordinates program and curriculum activities with the Human Services Program Coordinator. The director has a twelve-month, tenure-track position, maintains a 1/1 teaching load and reports to the Department Chair.

| Required Education – Experience – Skills (Minimum Qualifications): | The minimum qualifications for the position include, an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, a PhD in Social Work/DSW from a CSWE-accredited program and an advanced clinical license (L.C.S.W. or equivalent). The minimum qualifications also include a comprehensive record of professional accomplishments in scholarship, teaching and service that are commensurate with rank. In addition the candidate should have academic administrative experience within a CSWE- accredited program, such as, leading culturally competent curriculum development efforts, leading faculty teams, developing field education, admission, and student conduct policies, and managing a program budget. |
