Lecturer of Biology – Anatomy and Physiology |
| Position Description and Responsibilities: | The Department of Biology & Physics invites applications for a position as Lecturer of Biology beginning August 2013. Responsibilities for this position will include teaching human anatomy and physiology lectures and labs for nursing majors, teaching other courses as appropriate, and attending departmental and course-related meetings. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience teaching human anatomy and physiology and nursing microbiology. |
| Required Education – Experience – Skills (Minimum Qualifications): | An earned Masters or Ph.D. in a biological science or closely related discipline with coursework relevant to teaching Anatomy and Physiology is required. |

| Departmental/College Overview: | The Department of Biology and Physics employs 40 full-time faculty and administrative staff that serve approximately 1100 majors. It offers an M.S. in Integrative Biology and B.S. degrees in Biology, Biotechnology and Biology Education, as well as having responsibility for delivering physics and non-majors interdisciplinary science courses. The College of Science and Mathematics has departments in Biology and Physics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Mathematics and Statistics, and Computer Science. The core of the College is housed in a three-building complex, including a new 74,000 ft2 state-of-the-art Laboratory Science building that houses research and teaching laboratories in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and synthetic chemistry. |
