Scholarship Information

KSU Scholarships provides links to scholarships available at Kennesaw State University (KSU) and online application information. These scholarships have been made available to KSU students through private support to KSU. Scholarships may be need-based (based on financial need), merit-based (based on academic achievement), or merit-based with consideration given to financial need. Many are open to both undergraduates and graduate students enrolled full or part-time. Undergraduate full-time enrollment is at least 12 semester hours and part-time enrollment is at least 6 semester hours. Graduate full-time enrollment is at least 9 semester hours and part-time enrollment is at least 5 semeter hours. Some scholarships are designated for specific majors and are listed by the college/school in which that major is housed. Scholarships that are open to any major are listed under the category of university-wide scholarships. Students are encouraged to review both university-wide and major-specific scholarships to identify all possible scholarship opportunities.

 

APPLY FOR KSU SCHOLARSHIPS

KSU Scholarships- Need-Based

KSU has a variety of need-based scholarships.

 

To determine eligibility for need-based scholarships, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1st for the following academic school year and list Kennesaw State as a school on the form (Title IV Code: 001577).

 

KSU Scholarships - Merit-Based

KSU has a variety of scholarships based on academic merit and community involvement. There are a few that are based on financial need as well as academic merit. Scholarships that are merit-based with consideration given to financial need are awarded based upon overall merit after financial need is established. To be considered for need-based and merit-based scholarships with financial need, students must complete both a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit a scholarship application to the appropriate department.

 

External Scholarships

KSU receives a variety of applications from private sources for scholarships.

These applications are copied and made available to students until the deadline expires.

• 

Eligibility criteria varies. KSU is not involved in the selection process.

• 

The majority of applications are received from October through May for the following academic year.

•

ASNE Scholarship The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) sponsors a scholarship program to encourage students to enter the field of naval engineering and to provide support to naval engineers seeking advanced education in the field. Gates Millennium Scholars Program Provides outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska Natives, Asian Pacific Islander Americans, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education. Graduate opportunities are offered for those students pursuing studies in mathematics, science, engineering, education, or library science.

 

Gilman International Scholarship The Institute of International Education (IIE) is pleased to announce the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. This congressionally-funded program is sponsored by the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The program awards grants of up to $5,000 for US-citizen, undergraduate students to pursue study abroad opportunities worldwide.

 

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation finds and recognizes college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in public service.
