Pictures of the Annual Foreign Language Day - March 29, 2008
Foreign Language Day was started in 2007 and is becoming an annual event organized by the KSU language and culture clubs, and sponsored by the Department of Foreign Languages. The 2008 event was headed by Italian Club President Elizabeth Vazquez and German Club advisor Dr. Susanne Kelley. Clubs that were involved this year included the Chinese Club, German Club, Italian Club, Mexican American Student Association, and Spanish Club. Kids of all ages from the KSU and surrounding community were invited to enjoy a variety of language and culture related activities, including arts and crafts (making lanterns, decorating masks, coloring), games (memory, a pinata), and sampling foods.
The event is made successful by the collaboration of KSU students studying different languages and cultures, and by the enthusiasm of the community attending which this year included the Marietta Boys and Girls Club.
