2014 Keynote Speaker
First-Year Convocation and Induction Ceremony

Carlos Sanchez was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, to parents who are also native Puerto Ricans. His family relocated to Atlanta in 2000 through his father's career with The Coca- Cola Company. He, his parents, and his two younger siblings currently reside in Cobb County. Sanchez obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from Kennesaw State University in July 2013.

During his undergraduate studies, Sanchez was president of the Sport Management Majors Club and was also a founding father of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at KSU. Additionally, Sanchez was a member of the Center for Student Leadership's LINK (Leaders In Kennesaw) program, where he worked on several service projects, including a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Throughout his years at KSU, Sanchez also was active in his community as an assistant football coach at Hillgrove High School.

As capstones to his academic achievements, Sanchez was fortunate to land exclusive internships with both the Atlanta Braves Baseball Club and the Office of the Commissioner of Major League Baseball in New York City. Currently, Sanchez works for the Atlanta Falcons Football Club in their Corporate Sponsorships department.

Sanchez continues to be an influence in the Georgia community and within KSU as a donor to the Athletics programs and as an active alumni advisor to the Pi Kappa Alpha Mu Beta Chapter. In his spare time, Sanchez enjoys watching sports, horseback riding, listening to live music, and spending time with his family on the beach.
