Mary Quat joined Kennesaw State University in September 2007 as the Director of Development for the Michael J. Coles College of Business.
Mary’s development experience includes nine years directing initiatives for nonprofit agencies. Her primary focus has been on support from foundations, corporations, individuals and institutions, working with major companies. In 2006, her agency was the recipient of the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council IMPACT Award.
Prior to a career in development, Mary was a political newspaper reporter and communications director in Connecticut. She served in leadership positions for many community organizations, including PTA and the State Board of Connecticut Junior Women, where she was Junior Woman of the Year. Her first fundraising effort landscaped a city park. She moved to Atlanta 10 years ago.
Mary earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she was selected as the Outstanding Journalism Graduate.
