Meet The Director
Harold R. “Bob” Wise, Jr. grew up in Yeadon, Pennsylvania and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from West Chester University. He served in the Navy Reserve and retired as a Navy Captain in July 1995. During his 30 plus year career in both active and inactive duty assignments with the Navy, Bob served in numerous leadership positions including Commanding Officer of three reserve units. Bob worked at IBM for almost twenty years in marketing, training, development and management assignments before taking a position with Equifax, Inc. where he worked for sixteen years. He served as the Director of Data Security, Director of Systems Services and Director of Fulfillment Services within the Credit Marketing Services Division at Equifax. During his employment with Equifax, Bob received his MBA in International Business from Kennesaw State University in 1999. Community service has always been of the highest priority for Bob and has served on campaigns, programs and boards his entire life. Currently, he serves on the United Way Campaign Cabinet, and is an Advisor to a local unit of the U. S. Naval Sea Cadet Corp - a high school youth organization sponsored by the Navy League of the U.S. that develops character building, leadership, team building, ethics and responsibility. He also is a member of the Metropolitan Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce. For his service to the community, Bob was selected as an outstanding alumnus and was featured in KSU’s first-ever Corporate Image Campaign. It was through his extensive community service and academic excellence that Bob came to the attention of University Development and was asked to join Kennesaw State University as the Director of Development for the College of Science and Mathematics in August of 2007. His primary responsibility is managing the capital and endowed campaigns, as well as continued all other fund raising efforts for the College of Science and Mathematics. Bob has two children, Harold III and Stephanie and four grand children, Brea Chloe, Braelin, Harry and Maya Elisabeth. He is married to the former Dolores A. Peterson of Peekskill, New York and resides in Powder Springs, Georgia
