How much should I give?
You determine the size and designation of your gift according to your own charitable interests, personal willingness to give, and financial capacity.  No gift is too small. Giving societies have been established to recognize friends, alumni, parents, faculty and staff who exhibit leadership through their contributions to KSU. Since the generosity of our society members plays a vital role in KSU’s future, we invite you to consider membership in one of our giving societies. It’s your participation that matters.  Contributions to KSU demonstrate to businesses, foundations and friends of the University that those closest to KSU support it financially as well as professionally.

Is my gift tax-deductible?
Kennesaw State University Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization and gifts made to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

What can I give to?
Your gift can support your passion for KSU in numerous ways.  Donors often choose to make an unrestricted gift, meaning not restricted for a specific purpose and therefore directed where the need is greatest.  Unrestricted gifts also enable the University to take advantage of unexpected opportunities.  Other donors choose to restrict their gifts to a specific department or program, to support technology improvements, the library, athletics, or one of the many scholarships that are available to KSU students.

How does payroll deduction work?
KSU Employees are encouraged to donate through payroll deduction as it is one of the fastest, easiest and most convenient ways to make a gift. By completing the payroll deduction form, you can specify the amount you would like automatically deducted from each paycheck, the start date, and where your support should be designated. You can have an amount deducted until further notice or until a specific total has been reached. The form is available here. or by contacting the Office of Development at 770-423-6027. Unfortunately, if you are not employed by KSU there is not a payroll deduction option available.  The most convenient method for others, outside of the KSU community, is to donate by credit card or visit our online giving page.

Who will know about my gift?
Participation in the campaign is your choice.  You will receive a receipt but the amount of your gift will remain confidential to others.  If you wish to keep your gift entirely anonymous, you can indicate so on the Pledge Card.

Can I make a gift jointly with my spouse?
Of course.  A number of KSU supporters have spouses who also graduated from KSU.  Additionally, a number of KSU employees are married or have partners that also work at KSU.  Gifts can be made individually or as a couple.  Whichever way you chose to participate, donors are encouraged to check with their employer and spouse/ partner’s employer to see if they have a matching gift program, which will expand the power of your donation.  Visit our matching gift website to learn more.
