The 2008 Annual Scholarship Luncheon
On October 24, 2008, the Annual Scholarship Luncheon was held at the Kennesaw State University Carmichael Student Center. Over 280 scholarship benefactors and their scholarship recipients attended. Dr. Daniel S. Papp, President of Kennesaw State University opened the Luncheon with a welcome to all benefactors and students. Dr. Wesley K. Wicker Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of the KSU Foundation provided the audience with an update on new scholarships at Kennesaw State University as well as new scholarship gifts to the KSU Foundation over the past year. Mr. Stewart Cobb, benefactor of the Jackie Dobbins Cobb Memorial Scholarship delivered a heart-wrenching speech on the events that lead up to his establishment of the Jackie Dobbins Cobb Memorial Scholarship created in honor of his late wife. William Myers (class of 2012), Music Performance Major and recipient of the KSU Music Clinic Scholarship played the violin during the Luncheon. Click here view the 2008 Luncheon Slide show.
