Global
Ethics: Crossing Borders, Joining Hands
Frequently
Asked Questions
Q: Where
is the Preliminary Program?
A. The preliminary
program is at the following link: http://www.kennesaw.edu/globalinstitute/geprogram.htm
Q. How is
my panel organized?
A. Chairs of concurrent
sessions determine the structure and order of presentation.
By now, participants should have received these instructions
from their session/panel chairs. Typically, they ask you
to submit your papers about two weeks before the conference,
they tell you low long you have for your presentation,
and they ask if you need technology. If you have questions
about your presentation, please contact your chair. If
you have questions about the conference, contact Maggie
Scott at mscott@kennesaw.edu,
or Dr. Akanmu Adebayo at aadebayo@kennesaw.edu.
Q. What about
technology needs for my presentation?
A. All rooms come
fully equipped with the latest presentation technology
and high-speed Internet access. We only ask that you bring
your laptop. Reason is to ensure that your presentation
works the way you set it up. However, it’s okay
if you don’t want to bring your own laptop. We will
have a laptop available. Do come with a CD of your presentation
and we’ll work with that. As a back-up plan, you
may also place the material online at your institution.
Q. What happens
to my paper after the conference?
A. Publication. The
paper will undergo blind peer review. Authors will be
invited to make corrections or update the paper following
the suggestion of anonymous readers. We plan to publish
the papers first on-line and subsequently as a volume
of ILEC and/or IGI journal.
Q: How do
I register after the early-bird registration?
A: Participants continue
to register at the same on-line facility or by fax at
the following link: http://www.kennesaw.edu/globalinstitute/geform.htm
In addition, on-site registration booths will be open
on Sunday, October 24 at 4 p.m. and on Monday, October
25 at 8 a.m.
Q: Where do
we stay and how can I make my hotel arrangements?
A. The conference
is at the KSU Center. There are many hotels nearby and
hotel room rates vary. Participants are to select their
preference from the list of hotels provided at the following
link: http://www.kennesaw.edu/globalinstitute/gehotel.htm
Participants are to make their own room reservation at
their preferred hotel near the KSU Center.
Q: How do
I make my travel arrangements?
A: Kennesaw State
University is in the northwest corner of metro Atlanta.
Participants are to make their own travel arrangements
to fly into Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. KSU is about 40
miles northwest of the airport, on Exit 271 off Interstate
75. In good traffic, the drive is about 40 minutes.
Q: How do
I get to KSU Center (Kennesaw State University) from the
airport?
A. There are many
options. You may rent a car from the airport, take a taxi,
or take a shuttle. Our best option is the shuttle. Our
Institute has used Shuttle Tran often. Call 1-800-556-5466
to know where to be picked up at the airport. If you are
interested in limousine service, we have also used Lennox
Limousine. Call 404-239-9300.

participants at the airport. The specific location will
be the baggage claim belt/carousel of their flight. Participants
are to stay at this location and not wander off. They
may also call 404-786-3377 if they are having to wait
more than 30 minutes to be picked up. To be picked up,
please send Ms. Maggie Scott at mscott@kennesaw.edu
your specific arrival date and time, airline, and flight
number.

is there to see or do in Atlanta?
A. A million other
things. Click on the following link to Access Atlanta
