of traditional and modern cultures. Ibadan, the successor
state to the Old Oyo Empire, has for a long period been
a vibrant city with a relaxed, peaceful, accommodating
and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
The focal point
of Ibadan’s pre- and post modern history is the
seven hills flung and scattered around the city. Ibadan
has many tourist attractions, which include the Bower’s
Tower, University of Ibadan Zoo, Ibadan Museum, Oje
traditional market famous for the sale of locally produced
fabrics, Mapo Hall, and the sprawling part of the traditional
city.
