| Since
1995 the Asia Council has regularly offered summer study/travel
seminars in Asia. The target audience for the seminars
is full-time faculty from University System of Georgia
institutions with limited background on or experience
in Asia. The aim of the seminars is to enable participants
to create new courses focusing on an Asian culture,
or to infuse more Asia-related content into existing
courses. Seminars also enable faculty to establish contacts
at Asian institutions with an eye to future exchanges
and collaborative research.
The Asia Council offers a summer seminar
every other year. Faculty from all disciplines are encouraged
