MBA STUDY TOUR IN JAPAN
Spring Break 2008
February 29 - March 9, 2008

- This study tour will take participants to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. The trip is expected to include global business strategy presentations and discussions at Sony, Honda, AFLAC, Panasonic, Murata, Nintendo and Coca-Cola. In addition there will be cultural excursions to magnificent tourist destinations – including the Imperial Palace, Osaka Castle, and the Golden Pavilion.
- Academic Credit: Students can earn three credit hours in Mktg 8790 (Applied Global Business Strategies) or via a Directed Study program with Dr. Hope Torkonoo During the Spring Semester of 2008.
- Housing:
- Five nights in Tokyo at the Keio Plaza hotel.
- Three nights in Kyoto at the Hotel Granvia.
- Buffet breakfast will be served daily.
- Cost: $3,250 per person, double occupancy ($621 single room supplement). Subject to slight change.
Cost includes airfare, hotel, breakfasts daily, local transportation. Lunches are included during company visits. Does not include 3 CR HRS KSU tuition.
- Application Deadline: October 31, 2007.
- Transfers and Touring:
- Roundtrip transfers with coach/ English speaking assistance between all airports, train stations, hotels, and host companies.
- Bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto
- Half-day sightseeing tour of Tokyo. Visits to the Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Kannon Temples & Nakamise Shopping Arcade and drive-by Ginza with guide.
- Sightseeing tour of Kyoto includes visiting the Golden Pavilion, Sanjusangendo Hall, and Kiyomizu Temple with a guide.
- Tour of Himeji Castle.
