Spring 2007 Semester
The North American Consortium for Entrepreneurship was establised to assist in the development of student entrepreneurs who can take advantage of business opportunities across the three countries of North America.
KSU undergraduate students have an opportunity to study at Laval University, Quebec for the Spring 2007 semester. Students will gain KSU course credit, work experience and international contacts through their participation in the NACE exchange. Students will have the opportunity to form long-term networking relationships with their fellow participants from the US, Mexico and Canada.
Courses:
Participants will take the following three courses at Laval University (all taught in English):
International Marketing
Small business strategic management and Entrepreneurship
Applied Strategic Management (NACE internship) - this course is a 3 CR HRS Internship at a local business
Participants will register for one other course which can be among the other business courses offered in English or any other course offered in French (namely language courses such as French, English or Spanish). Students who will register for a language course will be asked to take a proficiency test in the first week of January (unless they are beginners).
The following business courses will be offered at Laval in the Spring semester (in English):
Organizational Behavior
Introduction to Finance
Strategic Management
Information Systems and Technologies

Requirements:
3 to 4 students will be selected for participation in the NACE exchange program. Applicants must have: 1.) Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
2.) Junior or Senior-level class standing Preference will be given to:
1.) Management majors
2.) Students with some French language proficiency (French not required for participation)
Housing:
Students can stay on campus in a student residence. For CDN$250.00 per month, students will have a private room with access to a shared kitchen and bathrooms. For more information, go to the Residence Office web site at www.sres.ulaval.ca See link at the bottom of this page for English guide.
Program Cost:
$1,821.00 Program cost includes administrative fees and 12 CR HRS KSU tuition and fees. Students are responsible for arranging their own airfare, housing, meals, local transportation, etc. Students are required to enroll in the Laval group health & hospital insurance plan - approximately CDN$300.00.
Participants are each provided with a $3,000 stipend to offset program costs. Application Deadline:
