Kennesaw State University is in the northwestern part of metro Atlanta. Participants are to make their own travel arrangements to fly into Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL). KSU is about 40 miles northwest of the airport, on Exit 271 off Interstate 75. In good traffic, the drive is about 40 minutes.
From Airport to Kennesaw: All international participants will be picked up at the airport. Do let us know your flight itinerary at least two weeks in advance by contacting Ms. Vivian Bonilla at vbonill1@kennesaw.edu. Participants from other parts of the United States have many options. You may rent a car from the airport, take a taxi, or take a shuttle. Our best option is the shuttle. At various times, the Institute for Global Initiatives has used Shuttle Tran (1-800-556-5466), Reliable Limousine (678-368-2043), and Town Executive Limousine (678-368-2043). Call the numbers indicated if you are interested.
Participants are encouraged to use SpringHill Suites, but there are other hotels around Kennesaw State University. We have funds to provide accommodation for a limited number of participants from outside the Atlanta metro area. These rooms will be assigned on a first come, first served basis (and may be double-occupancy if demand necessitates). Top priority will be given to presenters. Room assignments are coordinated by SEAN Headquarters in University of Florida. Please contact Dr. Todd Leedy directly by e-mail (tleedy@africa.ufl.edu) or by phone (352-392-2183) in order to be placed on the official conference rooming list. All room reservations must be made by January 10 so that we may provide the conference hotel (SpringHill Suites) with a list of confirmed guests and release unused rooms.
A: Registration fee is $20. It covers refreshments and conference program and materials. Instructions on registration is now available at the following link: http://www.kennesaw.edu/globalinstitute/seanreg.html. You may also proceed directly to registration by clicking here.
A preliminary program is available and will be updated from time to time. Please note that the conference will utilize rooms in our untra-modern Social Sciences building. These rooms are fully fully equipped with the latest presentation technology and high-speed Internet access. Laptops will also be provided but you may bring yours if you prefer or simply come with a flash drive of your presentation.
Papers presented at the conference will undergo blind peer review. Authors will be invited to make corrections or update the paper following the suggestion of anonymous readers. We plan to publish the papers as a volume of the Institute for Global Initiatives' journal, the Journal of Global Initiatives.
What else is there to see or do in Atlanta? A million other things, but business before pleasure. Click on the following link to Access Atlanta for information: http://www.accessatlanta.com/
