Always check with the Office
of Student Financial Aid for the most up to date and
official information.
If you are thinking about applying for a Graduate Program
at KSU, you should complete the FAFSA so that potential
sources of financial aid can be identified for you. You
should complete the FAFSA about the same time that you complete
the Graduate Application for Admissions. Deadlines for completing

Forms of Financial Aid for Graduate Students
Scholarships
There is a "window" of opportunity to apply
for scholarships. For the 2007-2008 school year, that window
will open on January 5, 2007 and close on March 2, 2007.
The Scholarship website is www.kennesaw.edu/scholarships.
You can see a list of scholarships, specifically for graduate
students here.
Scholarship awards are determined by a review committee.
Loans
Graduate students are eligible for 2 different loan programs.
Stafford Loans offer $8,500 as subsidized interest free
and $10,000 unsubsidized.
Gradplus Loans offers an amount that is the cost of education
less any other financial aid (loans, scholarships etc) that
the student is receiving for the year/semester. Additionally,
repayment begins when the student graduates or ceases ½
time enrollment.
Hope Teacher Scholarships
The Hope
Teacher Scholarship program provides funds for teachers
to pursue an advanced degree in a critical need teaching
field. Application for the Hope Teacher Scholarship is handled
by the Certification Officer in the Bagwell College of Education.
The funds are distributed on a first come, first served
basis beginning each July 1st and continuing until the funds
are exhausted.
Graduate Research Assistantships
A Graduate Research Assistant works with a faculty member
on a specific research project for a certain number of hours
each week. In exchange, the GRA is granted a tuition fee
waiver and provided a stipend. See the GRA
website for more details.
