World War II on the Home Front
Suitable for 5th-12th Grades
Learn about life on the home front by playing a ration game, looking at original ration cards, reading and writing V-mail, flipping through old copies of Woman's Day and various newspapers, and watching original war-related films from the 1940s home front. This trunk includes a 1940s women's dress pattern, filmstrip of V-mail, cookbooks and pamphlets on ration cooking, and a 1942 high school year book.
