Curriculum
The program will be
offered in a traditional model of curriculum
instruction over 4 consecutive semesters beginning
each fall term. Program classes will be scheduled in
late afternoons and early evenings to allow the
working professionals to pursue advanced preparation
with a minimum disruption to ongoing career
commitments. The curriculum is comprised of 36
semester hours divided into graduate core content,
capstone experiences, and approved electives.
Students admitted to
the program will work closely with the graduate
advisor and develop a course of study approved by
the AEHS Graduate Committee. Any changes to the
course of study must be approved by the AEHS
Graduate Committee.

Following is the
plan-of-study in a typical four-semester sequence.
All courses will not be delivered during the first
two years since elective courses will be phased into
the program based on student interest. Summer
semester course offerings will be designed to
facilitate the part-time students throughout the
program. Courses will include core course options
such as Research Techniques, Epidemiology, etc. as
well as electives offered on an alternate semester
basis. Variable credit, individually guided courses
such as Directed Studies, Master’s Project, and
Administrative Internship will be offered each
semester. Special Topics (variable credit course)
will be offered in a non- traditional, on-campus
format during Maymester, or on weekends during the
academic year. The actual time required for
completion of degree by the AEHS graduate student
will vary depending on the level of enrollment each
semester and during summer.
