Grady Palmer Distinguished Speaker Series
Dr. Grady Palmer was one of the charter faculty members of the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Sport Science with the opening of KSU in 1966. He was a valued faculty member for 30 years and retired in 1996. Dr. Palmer received his bachelor's and Master´s degrees from Middle Tennessee State University and his doctorate from the University of Georgia in Health Education. He served as Chair of the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from 1980-1984. During his tenure at KSU, he was involved with the Georgia Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. The Department of Health, Physical Education, and Sport Science is pleased to recognize Dr. Palmer for all of his professional accomplishments by naming this Distinguished Speaker Series in his honor.
