When are applicant pools used?
• When an advertised position does not result in the selection of a qualified candidate, the hiring manager may access the appropriate applicant pool(s) to search for other potential candidates.
• If a department is seeking a candidate to fill a position on a temporary basis, they can access the appropriate applicant pool(s) for qualified applicants to interview in order to fill the position quickly. Many temporary employees then are able to apply for and gain permanent employment with KSU.

Applications must be updated every 90 days to remain active in a pool.
