Position Papers
Purpose
Position papers provide an important opportunity for you to demonstrate your knowledge of the position of your country. Don't
let a failure to follow instructions hurt your position paper score!
Filename and Labelling
All position papers must be saved and labeled properly failure to do so will result in a paper not being graded.
All position papers must be in a word document format. The proper format for all position papers is as follows:
Country Name followed by Committee Name i.e.:

Scoring Rubric
Position papers are scored according to the following rubric:
- Content (12 points)
- Country Specificity and Accuracy - 4 points
- Use of Information Beyond the Background Guide - 2 points
- Relevance to Topics - 4 points
- Recommendation for Change - 2 points
- Format (4 points)
- Heading - 1 point
- Font - 1 point
- Layout - 1 point
- Citations - 1 point
- Style (4 points)
- Coherence - 2 points
- Spelling - 1 point
- Grammar - 1 point

midnight on the assigned due date. That due date will be published soon, so keep checking back!
