FINAL ACTIONS ON RECOMMENDATIONS FOR UNIVERSITY SENATE ACTIONS - FALL SEMESTER 1999.
The following Senate recommendations have been approved for implementation. Where applicable, these approvals will be included in the latest editions of the catalogs and/or handbooks of Kennesaw State University.

p.7.4-7.5 Appointment to Graduate Faculty:
#3 Appointment to Temporary Graduate Faculty.This category may be used for the
appointment of part-time faculty or faculty who will teach a course or serve on a student committee but will not do so on a continual basis.

#4 Appointment of Part-Time or Adjunct Graduate Faculty requires appointment as a part-time or
adjunct faculty member as specified in Section IX and review for permission to teach graduate courses by the Dean of Graduate Studies. Part-time or adjunct graduate faculty must meet the same qualifications as graduate faculty. The Dean of Graduate Studies review of their credentials may take place at the same time or any time after the faculty member is being reviewed for employment. Part
time or adjunct faculty will be approved for a period of up to three years, contingent upon their re-
appointment each year during the three-year period as part-time or adjunct faculty.

Process for Appointment
#4 The Dean of Graduate Studies reviews the letters of recommendation and supporting
materials and approves temporary appointment to the Graduate Faculty and appointment of part-time or adjunct graduate faculty.
