Journal of Learning Communities Research

JLCR teams with NLCC

The Journal of Learning Communities Research (JLCR) now publishes a special issue each April based on the theme of the preceding November's National Learning Communities Conference (NLCC). Authors of research and best practice presented at the NLCC will be encouraged to submit their work for review by a guest editor of the special issue. If the work is not selected for the special issue, the article will be forwarded to the co-editors of JLCR for entry into the blind review process.

For more information about the National Learning Communities Conference (NLCC), please see: www.kennesaw.edu/fyp/learning_communities/nlcc/2009.

Call for Manuscripts

The Journal of Learning Communities Research seeks scholarly manuscripts from all disciplines utilizing qualitative, quantitative, historical, or case study methodologies on topics related to learning communities. Manuscripts investigating the scholarship of teaching within learning communities are also encouraged as are manuscripts with an applied focus.

Submission Guidelines (Updated January 2009)

The Journal of Learning Communities Research has a nationally renowned Editorial Board and reviewers. Research articles go through a “double blind” review procedure. Best practice articles are peer reviewed by one of JLCR's co-editors.

All submissions will be reviewed within 120 days of receipt, and authors will be notified of the status of the manuscript within 150 days of original receipt.
