STUDENT* PARKING APPEALS PROCEDURES
*
faculty/staff/& visitor appeals should be directed to the KSU Police
PLEASE
READ THESE PROCEDURES IN THEIR ENTIRETY! IMPROPERLY SUBMITTED APPEALS WILL
NOT BE HEARD BY THE TRAFFIC COURT!
Items to Note:
- You
must pay the ticket, even if you are submitting an appeal.
Appealing a traffic citation does not stop your obligation to pay the fine.
Your payment will be refunded if the Traffic Court upholds your appeal.
- Appeals must
be made (submitted and/or postmarked) WITHIN 7 DAYS of the date of
the citation.
- Do not include
your ticket or your payment with your appeal. Only attach a COPY of
the citation to the appeal. Payments should be directed to Business Services
Procedures for
appealing a parking citation:
1. Complete an
appeal form (forms are also
located on the 2d floor of the original part of the Student Center). Fill
in all blanks, and Please write legibly!
2. Attach any
information (statements from witnesses, pictures, etc.) that would support
your appeal
3. Attach a COPY
of the citation(s)
4. Submit the
appeal to the traffic court by one of the following methods:
A. Attach all
forms and place them in the drop box (located on the 2d floor of the original
part of the Student Center, next to the appeal forms)
or
B. Mail the appeal
form and citation copy to:

Notification
of the date and time of Traffic Court will be mailed approximately one week
in advance. While attendance to Traffic Court is not required, an appellant
is welcome to appeal in person at the scheduled Traffic Court session.
