KSU OWL Radio Remote Broadcast Request Form
Need a DJ or want to broadcast an event?
OWL Radio, KSU's Internet Radio Station is able to provide DJ and remote broadcasting for events on the KSU campus based on availability of resources. Please contact us at least two weeks in advance.
OWL Radio tries to attend most student sponsored campus events, but also offers two (2) remote services:
1.) DJ services (playing music and emcee-ing your event, no live broadcast). A nominal negotiable rate ($25-50/hour) will be required, however, all funds are divided between the student DJ and OWL Radio for the purchase of equipment and expansion of services. 2.) Live Broadcast Remotes. Currently, no fees charged. Please note the following:
a. We provide at least one DJ, mobile equipment that includes speakers. We can emcee (MC) the event if you wish, and can make any necessary announcements. Because we are broadcasting live we can't play requests, but will try to honor music genres.
b. We ask that the sponsoring organization take care of any reservations and make sure we have a table and power source.
c. Because we use wireless technology to connect the remote event to the studio, we may only do remote broadcasts from Wi-Fi areas on campus. Click here for a listing of campus locations with Wi-Fi capabilities.
d. Supplies permitting, we will bring station giveaways to the event. The sponsoring organization is encouraged (not required) to supply freebies, or giveaways, to OWL Radio prior to the event to assist us in promoting the event or activity for you.
e. Please give us at least two (2) weeks notice. This allows us to schedule staff and promote your event.
• This form is ONLY a REQUEST for OWL Radio remote services, and does not constitute as an agreement that OWL Radio can
work the event. A station staffer will be in contact with you. All requests will be considered, but only accepted if equipment and staffing can be made available for the event.
