Student Media Board
Minutes
January 23, 2013
Attending:
Emily Wells, Amie Mowrey, Tricia Grindel, Leah Bishop, Megan Emory, Bryttney Murphy, Ed Bonza.
Excused: Jerome Ratchford, Tammy DelMel, Tkeyah Duke, Meghan de St. Aubin.
The meeting was called to order by secretary to the board, E. Bonza at 1:06 p.m.
The 11-30-12 SMB minutes were approved.
The vacant chair position was discussed. T. Grindel was nominated to be the SMB chair for 2012-2013. No other candidates came forward and there was no discussion. The motion carried. Remaining meetings through this semester will be chaired by T. Grindel.
The next order of business was are reports. Updates were given by The Sentinel, OWL Radio, Share and the Marketing team. Talon updates ere given by E. Bonza.
The next order of business was membership; vacancies were discussed. Currently the SMB has openings for three (3) student representatives and one faculty member (Faculty/University at Large).
The board also discussed the best day/time for future meetings. It was agreed that the best day was Wednesdays at 1.pm. Secretary E. Bonza will send the membership a poll to determine the specific date.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:51 p.m.
