April 28 2004 Meeting

Present:

Members: Ed Bonza, Eric Croas, Jennifer Hafer, Nikhil Moro, Kenyan Moore, Jenny Cotton, Kiki Amanatidis, Paul Boshears, Dr. King

Guests: Erika Busby Neidner, LaToya Cole, Ashlie Adler, Joshua Stainthorp (candidates), Justin Wagner (SG President), Munzier Nagiri

Excused: Loretta Garrett, Marsha Cohen

The meeting was called to order by Jennifer Hafer at 2:05 p.m.

The Open Forum gave candidates a chance for brief presentations and permitted questions from nonboard members. 

The formal interview began at 2:31 p.m. 

After questions the board moved into closed deliberations at 4:17 p.m.  After discussion, votes were tallied. The summer/fall 2004 editor of The Sentinel is Erika Busby Neidner. Share editor for 2004-05 is Joshua Stainthorp. 2004-05 Talon editor is Kiki Amanatidis, selected for a second term.

The Board also decided to meet over the summer to discuss a mission statement for Talon, staff manuals for Share & Talon, and copy editor training for The Sentinel

The meeting was adjourned.
