Our Mission
The Kennesaw State University Press supports Kennesaw State University’s position as a premier learning-centered comprehensive university. The Press is dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge to scholars, students, and general readers through books, journals, and electronic media. Working with both academic and nonacademic authors, the Press publishes high-quality manuscripts -- both fiction and nonfiction -- covering a broad array of disciplines and topics. The KSU Press emphasizes works of scholarly and popular interest concerning Georgia and the surrounding Region including, but not limited to, it’s art, culture, stories, history, and people. The KSU Press is especially interested in providing publication assistance to regional authors.

Many of our publications have won literary awards including the Lillian Smith Award, Atlanta Magazine’s Critics Choice Award, Georgia’s Top 25 Reading List, The Georgia Center for the Book’s All Georgia Reads. Among our authors are a former Georgia Poet Laureate, finalist for ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year Award, and nominees for The Georgia Author of the Year Award, and the National Book Award.

Directions to the Press
Travel I-75 to Chastain Road (Exit Number 271). Northbound travelers will turn left at the traffic light at the end of the off ramp, while southbound travelers will turn right. Travel approximately one-tenth of a mile and turn right onto Kennesaw State University Drive. Proceed straight to the gated Visitor Center Parking Lot and Information Booth (Lot B). The Press is located on the second floor of the English Building (Bldg 27). Click here to view a campus map.
