Another in a series of informal Sunday morning
conversations with Dr. Eugen Schoenfeld, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Georgia State University.

His general topic for this series is "What We May Be" about the Jewish self and modern life.

This month Dr. Schoenfeld explores the use of the story of Abraham to stress the common elements of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Dr. Eugen Schoenfeld, from the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust will share a program commemorating Holocaust Remembrance Month. Dr. Schoenfeld is a Holocaust survivor, and we are honored that he can be with us to present this program.

We also will have "Parallel Journeys," a Holocaust Exhibit, on display in the East Cobb Library during the month of April.

North Carolina Bartram Trail Society Celebrates its 35th Anniversary with a program on "The Natural History of the Southern Appalachians" and guided hike to the Cowee Mound.

James Kautz, KSU Press author of Footprints Across the South: Bartram's Trail Revisited, a book on Bartram's journeys across the southern colonies, will provide a brief discussion of America's first native-born naturalist and his visit to Cowee in 1775.

2012 Decatur Book Festival Signals Labor Day Weekend Fun

Local author Anne Webster will read three poems from her book, A History of Nursing: Poetry by Anne Webster.

Webster’s no-holds-barred poems draw on her life experiences as a critical care nurse and administrator for 25 years. She will also read from her collection of poems in progress titled, Darling Will You Love Me?
