Why do we officially register for courses?
An official registration process has been implemented for two main reasons. First, officially registering for classes allows staff and faculty to have a record of completed courses maintained through the information system in Continuing Education. Staff and faculty may then request transcripts that may be used during the employee appraisal process and in annual reports. Secondly, by registering for courses, the Continuing Education office is able to count that registration and apply it toward overall enrollment figures. Just like it is with credit courses, the University is awarded funding based on enrollment in continuing education. Therefore, the more enrollments we are able to "capture" through registration, the more financially rewarding it is for the University.

Does the Center for University Learning offer GED classes?
